Veronica Mary Rolf is an independent scholar of medieval studies
and comparative literature, educated at Columbia University.
She has spent her life in the professional theatre, as a playwright
and actress (on Broadway, in classical repertory theatre, and on television).
She was the founder of the Manhattan-based multi-racial arts
organization, The Center for Creative Collaboration, Inc.,
and artistic director of The CharActors Theatre Company.
She also toured the United States as a goodwill ambassador
"Affiliate Artist" under the auspices of the National Endowment
for the Arts. For over two decades, she trained and directed
professional actors as a Master Teacher of Dramatic Arts
at the Stella Adler Studio (New York City), The Actors' Centre (London),
Teatro Andamio '90 (Buenos Aires), and Berkeley Repertory Theatre (California).
Mrs. Rolf is also a certified teacher of Christian meditation.
She has designed and taught a three-year course on the history
of Christian mysticism entitled "Ascent to the Divine" and is
affiliated with the World Community for Christian Meditation (WCCM.org),
giving workshops, conducting meditation groups, and leading
retreats. In 2007, she created the One Thousand Acts of Peace website
(www.onethousandactsofpeace.org), which has spawned educational programs
and peace activities around the world. |
