The aim of this book is to support and nurture all meditators. It is food for the journey, but especially addressed to those who are group leaders or feel called to be one and in this way, share the precious gift of meditation with others. These weekly teaching form an ongoing series that builds up into a solid foundation of the tradition in which we meditate. The weekly teachings may form the content of the teaching element of the group. They could also form part of the discussion after meditation.

This book is composed of three yearly cycles of the Weekly Teachings. As Fr Laurence OSB says, “The Weekly Teachings form an ongoing series that builds up into a solid foundation of the tradition in which we meditate.” The book can be used as the teaching element in a weekly group or form part of the discussion after the meditation.

All years have an over arching theme:

Year One is the essential teaching
Year Two deals with the certainties and uncertainties experienced in meditation, highlighted against the backgound of the Desert Tradition
Year Three deals with the theology of John Main OSB and Laurence Freeman OSB, which underlies their teaching.
