The Way of Peace talks began in 1994 at the John Main Seminar as a series of inter religious dialogues. His Holiness the Dalai Lama and other renowned speakers examined the role of religions as forces of peace and reconciliation.

Franciscan priest and founder of the Center for Action and Contemplation, Richard Rohr, OFM was the guest speaker at this year's Way of Peace talks. He speaks clearly and bluntly of Christian religion's role in the peace process. "Do we use Jesus to justify violence?" "The cleverest way to avoid following a teacher is to worship him."
